Olympic Symbols

Baron Peirre de Couberth invented the the rings (the rings is an Olympic symbol). Which have the 5 colours, red, blue, black, yellow and green. The interlocking rings represents the joining of athletes to participate in the Olympics.

In the opening ceremony of the Olympics, the Olympic flag is transported into the stadium. It’s hoisted up the flagpole where it must flow in the air throughout the games. When it is lowered it signals the end.
